To play through the enitre game as Momiji, select the hard difficulty level, survive the fight with Ryu and successfully defeat the dragon boss. A new difficulty will be unlocked - The Way of Kunoichi. Begin a new game to access it.
Complete all chapters to unlock the "Prizes" option and Hard difficulty. The "Prizes" option allows you to view intermission sequences, letters, and character files that were found during your game session. Most are unlocked during the game by shooting the birds that appear when you use the microphone when a bird sound is heard.
Collect 44 Wood Amulets in the game, save and then back to main menu, check the Prize section again and the Wood Amulet 45 will become available.
There's a part of the game where you can jump into a well, leading you back to a village. There are bats in this well. Attack and kill them, grabbing what goods they drop, and then jump back out of the well. Jump back in (as the enemies have respawned below), and repeat this process for infinite funds.
Every time you attack enemies with the Ultimate Technique, youll receive more Essence. Therefore, attacking with that attack will net you more Essence over longer periods of time. Try going to places like caves, where a plethora of easy enemies (such as bats) lay in wait. Using leveled-up Ultimate Techniques will allow you to farm for Essence rather easily.
If you have set the DS to your birthday, you will get a special "Happy Birthday" sound effect when you start the game! Instead of the usual sound effect when you tap the start screen, you'll hear one of the characters yell out "Happy Birthday!"
